Our story

How and why Message to Heaven was born

Message to Heaven was born from longing, but at its core lies hope.

From longing to an idea

Some time ago, I lost contact with a close friend. We had worked together for a long time — at times as business partners, at times simply as good friends. Then came the day when my messages no longer received a reply. What remained was gratitude for the journey we had shared, but also a quiet need to say out loud what had been left unsaid.

For a long time, I searched for a way to do something tangible. Not just a thought, not a page in a notebook, not a social media post. I wanted a way to truly send a message onward. That was when the idea emerged: what if a message could actually be sent — as a signal that continues traveling away from us, toward the infinite?

That is how Message to Heaven came to life.

Message to Heaven is a service where anyone can send a message to someone who matters. The message can be addressed to a loved one who has passed away, to someone still living, to an idol, or to a person with whom something was left unfinished. We do not leave the message sitting on a screen. We send it into space as radio waves.

From the very beginning, we understood that this is not only about technology. It is about being human. About the moment when a thought carried silently within becomes something visible. A thank you. An apology. A promise. A farewell. Or simply a greeting. Often, that alone is enough: when the words are released in a way that feels real, something inside grows lighter.

Important words are not only for grief

Very quickly, we also discovered another side of it — one just as important. Message to Heaven was not created only for grief. It also began to live through joy, relief, and new beginnings. People wanted to give space to moments they did not want to keep only to themselves:

When the first celebratory message was sent, we realized something essential: this is not only a service for farewells. It is a service for important words. For moments people want to give weight to — and make real for themselves, too. When a wish comes true or a new chapter in life begins, sending a message makes that moment visible and meaningful.

I’m in love.
Our child was born today.
We made peace.
We are healthy.
I graduated.

A certificate makes the moment tangible

Every transmission creates a certificate that records the exact time of sending down to the second (UTC) and the message ID. It is not merely a technical confirmation, but a tangible keepsake that the message truly began its journey — and that the moment has now been preserved as part of the universe. The certificate can be saved, shared, or printed as a personal memento.

Why this service exists

Message to Heaven was born from longing, but at its core lies hope. Technology makes the act real and measurable, but the meaning is given by the person themselves. Every message sent ties together the past, the present moment, and whatever it is we hope to move toward.

That is why this service exists: so that important words no longer remain unsaid — but are given the chance to continue their journey.
